It can be really inconvenient to arrive for a conference and have your group members' rooms spread out all over the place. So, make sure the hotel you're booking with will allow you to book a block of rooms. This way, you can all be near each other, which helps encourage the formation of friendships. It also makes it easier for guests to make plans together and rehash the day's events after each conference day ends.
